Kamisama Kiss

Kamisama Kiss: Literally, another anime that leaves me wondering why anime men aren't real. But, don't they all?

Plot
Nanami (our main girl) is shown having a bumpy high school life, in where her father is a gambler, takes her money & high tails it outta there. She ends up being homeless, broke & as she is trying to figure out what she is going to do with her life she ends up saving a guy by the name of Mikage, that was stuck in a tree because of a dog. After she saves him & explains her own dilemma he plants a kiss on her forehead, telling her to stay at his place & that she is welcomed there. Little did she know, the guy is known as the Earth Deity & due to the fact that she kissed her on the forehead he passed on his title over to her. She meets those who inhabit the place & only to find out that it isn't a normal place, that it is in fact it is a shine for worship.. that just so happens that it is connected to the spiritual world. Onikiri & Kotetsu are keepers of the place, they welcome her with open arms, all the while a hesitant Tomoe (beautiful), keeps his distance stating that he will not serve under a human. She eventually gets him to stay at the shrine & their adventure beings from: Tomoe saving her from a famous superstar that is actually a crow tengu & is mildly jealous, to Nanami helping a fellow deity in a love situation & helping Tomoe even though she doesn't believe she is cut out to be the Earth Deity, but she eventually accepts the role & decides that she will give it her all, proving to not only herself but to all those around her that have doubted her.
Review
The anime is a Shoujo Romance type, where it has the obvious romance & emotion that is targeted toward that demographic audience. Aka me, anyways the anime is only 13 episodes long, hence I was able to finish this in about 2 days. It appears that the manga is still in production, so if you don't have your fill on this you can read it to your hearts content!
One thing that did put me off, aside from the animation being beautiful and all, at times it just felt that some scenes where cut too soon, and it just came off as choppy, sorta like they had to draw a frame in a certain about of time & then the next thing you know you're thrown into a new camera angle & the plot kept going on. So, some transitions weren't as smooth.
There wasn't a lot of character development aside from Nanami & Tomoe. The reason I say this is because there were two other shrine keepers Onikiri & Kotetsu but you didn't really learn much about them. Which also applies to the crow tengu, when he was introduced he wanted to consume the new earth deity but in just one episode he gives up on eating Nanami. OH! Plus it seemed that he was starting a romance with on of the school girls. But it didn't go beyond that, I just have to read the manga. There were other characters that this applied too but you know, gotta read it.
The opening song was really catchy & upbeat, it was one of those songs that you can't help but stay & listen to it and perhaps sing along.. as best you can.
It also had a bit of a comedy element to it at times, which did give me a chuckle & I did enjoy.
Other than that, the anime was pretty good, something I would definitely recommend to people, hence here I am! So far it is only subbed, but I wouldn't be surprised if it will be dubbed in the future.

Overall I would rate it a 8/10
